PLAN REVIEW FEE SCHEDULE

Use the total construction cost to determine the appropriate fees in the fee schedule. Be sure to include the *$175 state filing fee and the *$50 Convenience Fee if you want us to register your project and pay the state filing fee. *DO NOT PAY THESE TWO FEES IF YOUR PROJECT HAS ALREADY BEEN REGISTERED AND HAS A TABS NUMBER. The state does not refund project filing fees so please make sure the project has not been registered with TDLR Architectural Barriers. Search the TDLR's Architectural Barriers Projects Database.

Checks for plan reviews shall be made payable to 'Texas Access' at our Main Project Intake Office. Be sure to write the TABS Number or Project Name on the check. If you need an invoice, please use our self-generating invoice.

Failure to include the Project Name or TABS number with the check could result in a lost or misapplied payment for which we will not be held responsible.

Important: A project with a construction cost that is less than $50,000 is not required to be registered with the TDLR or receive a plan review or an inspection (compliance with the standards is required regardless of the cost, there just won't be any oversight by the state). If a building permit department is insisting on a "TDLR number" and the construction cost is less than $50,000, please print out the FAQ's published by TDLR, specifically General FAQ Number 5 "Do I have to submit plans for an accessibility plan review?", and provide that to the permitting authority.
