TDLR Project Registration

HOW TO REGISTER A PROJECT WITH THE TEXAS DEPT. OF LICENSING AND REGULATION

IMPORTANT!
ONLY FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING YOUR PROJECT TO TEXAS ACCESS.
IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT TO TEXAS ACCESS, THEN DO NOT ENTER THE RAS NUMBER BELOW DURING THE REGISTRATION OF THE PROJECT.

There are two options for registering projects with the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation.

(1) You may register the project yourself at the TDLR's Online Project Registration site. However, If you choose to register the project online, be sure to do the following:

(a) When you get to the online site, on the 5th page presented, be sure to click the second button "A RAS will be performing the required plan review...Enter 8 digit RAS number".

The number you will need to enter is 19, (eight digits is not needed) and should look like this:

(b) Please ensure that you are entering accurate information. Do not guess. Once the information is entered and officially recorded, it cannot be changed later. The paper registration form and the online system ask for the same information, so a good practice is to print out a paper registration form, and acquire the information on the form before registering online.

(c) When you are finished, print the resulting Architectural Barriers Project Registration Confirmation Page and send us a copy of that page along with the submittal package. You'll also need a copy of this page for building permit related purposes.

(2) Or you may fully hand complete a paper Architectural Barriers Project Registration Form and included it with the rest of the submittal package.

If you submit the above paper registration form with your submittal package to us, then you must include the $175.00 Project Filing Fee per, our Fee Schedule. When we receive your submittal, we will then register the project online for you and pay the $175.00 state Project Filing Fee.

Important: Projects that are located on separate physical sites (such as multiple projects under a single bond program), or projects having separate physical addresses, must be registered, reviewed, and inspected separately, per TDLR.

If you encounter problems or are unsure how to register the project online, call us at 1+ (800) 880-6986 or send us a completed paper registration form and we'll be glad to register it online for you.
